Every weight loss journey is different. Our GPhC-registered pharmacists take the time to understand your health history, current BMI, lifestyle, and goals before recommending a programme. We do not offer quick-fix solutions we offer structured, evidence-based support.
Weight Loss Options We Offer
NHS Weight Management Referrals
If you are eligible, we can refer you to local NHS weight management services or the Tier 2 lifestyle programme in Essex.
Private Weight Loss Injections
We offer prescription-based weight loss injections for eligible patients:
- Wegovy (semaglutide) — once-weekly injection approved for weight management in adults with a BMI over 30 (or 27 with a weight-related condition)
- Mounjaro (tirzepatide) — once-weekly injection with strong clinical evidence for significant weight loss
A full clinical assessment is required before prescribing. These are not suitable for everyone and require ongoing monitoring.
Orlistat
Orlistat is a tablet that reduces the amount of fat absorbed from your diet. It is available on prescription and OTC (at a lower dose). Our pharmacist can advise whether it is suitable for you.
Who is Eligible?
- Adults with a BMI of 30 or above
- Adults with a BMI of 27 or above with a weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes or hypertension
We will conduct a full clinical assessment to confirm eligibility before any prescription is issued.

Weight management is a long-term commitment. We provide regular follow-up consultations, monitoring of weight, blood pressure, and any medication side effects, and adjustments to your programme as needed.

Injectable medicines like Wegovy and Mounjaro have been through rigorous clinical trials and are licensed for use in the UK. Like all medicines, they have possible side effects. Our pharmacist will discuss these with you fully before prescribing.
Results vary depending on the programme and individual adherence. Clinical trials for Wegovy showed average weight loss of around 15% of body weight over 68 weeks when combined with lifestyle changes. Mounjaro has shown even higher results in trials.
NHS access to these medicines is limited and based on strict eligibility criteria. We can advise on both NHS and private pathways during your consultation.
